Tremors in Delhi-ncr, J&k After 5.8 Magnitude Earthquake Strikes Afghanistan



By Kumar Kunal: Earthquake tremors were felt in parts of Delhi-NCR, Jammu and Kashmir and on the borders with Afghanistan and Pakistan. According to initial estimates, the magnitude of the earthquake is said to be 5.8 on the Richter scale.

According to the National Center for Seismology (NCS), the epicenter of the earthquake was in the Hindu Kush region in Afghanistan, 418 km northwest of Jammu and Kashmir’s Gulmarg district.

“The quake hit twice at around 9:30 pm,” Preeti Shankar, who resides in a high-rise apartment in Noida on the eastern fringes of the national capital, told news agency PTI.

According to NCS, the timing of the earthquake was 9:31 pm, and its depth was 181 km.
